Lemurs are part of the monkey family. There are lots of different lemurs. Some are awake in the day and asleep at night.
Lemurs are primates belonging to the suborder Strepsirrhini. Like other strepsirrhine primates, such as lorises, pottos, and galagos, they share ancestral (or plesiomorphic) traits with early primates. In this regard, lemurs are popularly confused with ancestral primates; however, lemurs did not give rise to monkeys and apes (simians).

The next thing we wanted the answer to was, when do lemurs mate?
The females only mate for one or two days out of the year, usually around April, and all the breeding females in a group mate within a few weeks of each other. They then all give birth around the same time, in August or September. Typically, both male and female ring-tailed lemurs can breed when they are three or four years old.
Are lemurs meant to be pets?
When you consider reptiles and fish, a pet isn’t even something that forms a bond with its caregiver. From that reasoning, yes a lemur could be a pet. On the flip side, threatened species are generally not allowed to be pets and many lemurs are at least threatened.
