Penguins are better than everything. Posted on November 21, 2013, at 7:54 p. m. ET Penguins are perfect. This is not up for debate for the following reasons: 1. When is the last time you wore a tux for no reason at all? Never, that’s when.
Penguins are better than dinosaurs. That’s what you should take away from this. Fossils revealed that an ancestor to penguins, similar to today’s yellow-eyed penguin, was roaming the earth not long after the extinction of dinosaurs. Scientists speculate the penguin species survived and evolved along with other birds. Penguins are monogamous.
Penguins are nature’s stupidest animals. They are flightless birds, what more can I say? The whole purpose of being a bird is to fly, without flight, the only hope for a bird to be cool is to be outrageously large, like our friend the emu. That’s a good bird, but the penguin? Stupid, nothing but stupid.
Where do penguins live in order?
Penguins (order Sphenisciformes, family Spheniscidae) are a group of aquatic, flightless birds. They live almost exclusively in the Southern Hemisphere, with only one species, the Galapagos penguin, found north of the equator.

Although almost all penguin species are native to the Southern Hemisphere, they are not found only in cold climates, such as Antarctica. In fact, only a few species of penguin live so far south.
Can penguins attack you?
Yes penguins do attack humans. It is quite rare, as penguins live away from humans and other mammals. If a penguin feels threatened it will attack by pecking with its beak, and hitting you with it’s wings.
Are penguins dangerous to humans?
Penguins have no special fear of humans and will often approach groups of people. This is probably because penguins have no land predators in Antarctica or the nearby offshore islands. They are preyed upon by other birds like skuas, especially in eggs and as fledglings.
Your best defense is that penguins do not eat on land and therefore will not think of you as a source of food. They might see you as a threat to their eggs and chicks, though., and can they? Depending on the species, penguins weigh between 3 and 50 pounds. That’s enough of a bird to put a dent in whatever part of your leg they can reach.
My best answer was one individual penguin in an upfront attack would at best bruise or mildly cut skin. However if the flock attacks at once you inevitably will fall and your eyes are at the mercy of thousands of beaks.
Why do penguins need oil to survive?
Since penguins have a body temperature of 100 Fahrenheit, the oil acts as an insulator and a friction reducer that allows for smooth swimming in cool waters. Chicks are dependent on their families until they are able to waterproof themselves.
